Who we are

China Children and Teenagers¡¯ Fund (CCTF) was created in 1981 as one of the first charitable foundations in China. Over the past 26 years, CCTF has been working for the education and welfare of Chinese children, especially those in rural and ethnic minority areas. Amongst CCTF's most noted projects are the Spring Bud Project and China Children Safe and Healthy Growth Project.

Since 1989, CCTF has sponsored over 1.7 millions of girls in their education and career training in Spring Bud Project£¬which is focusing on girls education and development. Now, the Spring Bud Project is extending its scope of aid to health education for girls and Young women Employment and Entrepreneur training.

In 2000, CCTF launched the China Children Safe and Healthy Growth Project, commonly also known as the Enkon project, which aimed to prevent children from dropping out of school and keeping them safe from crime, illness and injury. During the past 7 years, the Enkon project has been introduced into various schools and urban communities in the form of the Enkon Distance Learning Classroom and Children's Community Home.

To further promote public awareness of children's charities in China, June 22 of every year has been designated as China Children's Charity Day., A grand ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People for China Children's Charity Day in 2005. More than 1,000 participating corporations, organizations, and individuals from around the globe committed at the event to helping children. To further promote the CCTF charity event, Jackie Chan and 30 other top Chinese celebrities joined in to perform at Capital Stadium.
